If you have grills, it’s important that you care for your smile as much as possible. If you don’t, your teeth and gums could easily fall victim to many dental issues. If you aren’t sure how to take care of your oral health while you decorate your teeth, our All Family Dental team is more than happy to help you! Please do the following things:

Keep up on oral hygiene

When you have grills, there is a high chance that food and other debris can become trapped between the grills and the teeth. This will allow bacteria and germs to gather and produce acids, which can result in tooth decay and gum disease. This can also cause major bad breath. So, the best thing you can do to prevent these issues is brush your teeth twice a day and floss your smile at least once a day.

Limit the wear time

If you have decorated your smile with removable grills, it’s best to limit the wear time. The more often you wear them, the higher of a chance you’ll have of your teeth being destroyed. So, we recommend only wearing the products on special occasions and removing them before you eat a meal or snack.

Clean the product

It’s highly recommended to clean your grills at least once a day. If you clean them on a regular basis, the bacteria and food debris will be washed away, which will reduce your chances of having dental issues. So, please clean your grills with the proper cleaning solution—not jewelry cleaner or any other toxic cleaning solution.
