Do you routinely rinse your mouth with mouthwash once a day? If so, good for you! It’s recommended to rinse your mouth once a day after you’ve brushed and flossed your teeth. If you’re in need of a new mouthwash but you’re not sure which product is best for your smile, our All Family Dental dental team is happy to help you. We would like to tell you all about the two different types of mouthwash available.

The first helpful mouthwash is therapeutic mouthwash. This rinse can improve your oral health because it can reduce the growth of plaque on your teeth, reduce your chances of suffering periodontal disease, and fight cavities. This rinse can also finish the smile-cleaning job and nourish your teeth with fluoride.

The second valuable mouthwash is cosmetic mouthwash. This rinse is for cosmetic use only. It can give you the bright smile you are looking for by slowly whitening your teeth, masking your stinky breath, and leaving behind a pleasant taste in the mouth.

Lastly, no matter which product you choose, it’s best to pick one that has been approved by the American Dental Association. If you use a rinse that has this Seal of Approval, then you are using a product that is safe and effective.
